Meaning of Educational Technology

Educational Technology  is the development, application and evaluation of systems, techniques and aids to improve the of human learning.
Educational Technology   is a systematic way of designing, implementing and evaluating the total learning and teaching in terms of specific objectives based on research in human learning and communication; and employing a combination of human and non- human resources to bring about more effective instruction.

Simply stated, Educational Technology is the application of the results of researchers and studies materials and non- materials to improve teaching and learning.

Materials result of researchers include both the traditional aids, which will be the focus of this course. Non- materials results includes the theories and principles of teaching including methodologies strategies and techniques of teaching.

Educational Technology must be viewed in relation to teaching as a whole into the learning process.
Teacher must be understand this relationship in order to be able to make intelligent or fruitful use of technological aids.
